Birmingham Bin Strike

Since Unite Union members began the all-out Birmingham bin strike on 11 March, tens of thousands of tonnes of rubbish have piled up uncollected, prompting Birmingham City Council to declare a major incident and issue a public health warning.
After five weeks of stalemate between the council and Unite, Communities Secretary Angela Rayner has now called for military personnel to be deployed to provide logistical support.
