Reform UK supporters travel to the Makerfield by-election

An assignment for Helsingin Sanomat documenting Reform UK supporters who departed at 7:30am from Victoria, London aboard three coaches making the long return journey to Makerfield in Greater Manchester, where the pivotal Makerfield by-election was taking place that day.

They travelled to Manchester to support Reform UK candidate Rob Kenyon. When the results were announced, Kenyon received 15,696 votes, but was defeated by Labour candidate Andy Burnham, who secured 24,927 votes and was subsequently elected as Member of Parliament for the Makerfield constituency.
